This piece was made from the moment where holding back becomes impossibleThis vivid, high-energy painting dives into the struggle between who we show to the world and the wild, instinctive part of ourselves we keep locked inside.
The canvas is split between two dominant figures: a dark, animal-like creature with sharp teeth and glowing blue eyes, and a human figure in a bright pink body and blue arms. Together they represent the inner battle between suppression and expression.

The black creature on the left is drawn with overlapping red and black lines, giving it movement and tension — as if it’s constantly held back but ready to burst forward. The text “FREE THE BEAST” and “YOUR MIND” signals that this “beast” is not something external, but an inner force: raw creativity, emotion, instinct, truth.

On the right, the human figure looks unsettled, even nervous. The scribbled facial lines suggest confusion or fear, as if this character is confronted with the part of himself he usually tries to hide. The dripping red fingers add a sense of intensity, showing that holding back the inner beast has consequences.

The warm yellows, oranges, and scattered red circles create a charged atmosphere — like heat, energy, pressure building up. The whole composition vibrates with the message:
There is something inside you that wants to come out.

The contrast between the bold black creature and the colorful human figure turns the painting into a psychological confrontation, urging the viewer to embrace their untamed side.

Raw, symbolic, playful and intense — unmistakably Hamelink.
